Professor Natalie Carroll elected to Universities Council on Water Resources Board of Directors

Dr. Carroll will begin her term at the 2018 UCOWR/NIWR Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Directors serve a three-year term and Carroll's will conclude with the 2021 Annual Conference. Several years ago, Dr. Carroll presented her ASABE Blue-Ribbon winning 4-H Soil and Water Science curriculum and received a UCOWR award as well. She has served as an editor (#156, Informal Water Education and Public Outreach - December 2015). She has served as the Education Editor for the past two years. Purdue's delegation co-chairs are Professors Laura Bowling and Linda Prokopy.

The UCOWR Board of directors are responsible for vision and planning, active participation in governance and programs, membership recruitment, establishment and approval of policy, fiscal oversight, and hiring and support of the executive director.

The Universities Council on Water Resources was founded in 1964 as an expansion of the Universities Council on Hydrology. UCOWR is an association of universities and organizations leading in education, research, and public service in water resources. UCOWR members and delegates are at the forefront of water resources related research and education, and represent various fields of natural and social science.
