Four AAE faculty receive named professorships

Three of these named positions are new this year. They all have been made possible through the generous support of J. William Uhrig, Jr.

Portraits of four professors

Associate professors Carson Slabaugh, Joe Jewell, Shaoshuai Mou and Carolin Frueh have been approved for named associate professorships. All of these named positions are possible from a generous donation by an AAE alumnus who had previously also established the Elmer Bruhn professorship. The additional support this year provided for three new assistant/associate professorships. 

  • Carolin Frueh will be acknowledged as the Harold DeGroff Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics
  • Joe Jewell will be acknowledged as the John Bogdanoff Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics
  • Shaoshuai Mou will be acknowledged as the Elmer Bruhn Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics
  • Carson Slabaugh will be acknowledged as the Paula Feuer Associate Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics

These positions recognize the contributions made to the history of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics by these deceased emeritus faculty members.
