Pavi Ravi, a master’s student in AAE, will attend the Forbes Under 30 Summit after being selected for the Forbes Under 30 Scholars Program.

The Summit, to be held Oct. 27-30 in Detroit, honors investors, entrepreneurs, celebrities, cultural icons, educators and political leaders, among others, who represent the entrepreneurial spirit of the Forbes 30 Under 30 List. In 2019, Forbes selected 600 people in 20 categories who are “changing the world” for its list.

The keynote speakers for the Summit include CEOs, athletes, actors and more. The four-day event agenda includes specific scholars programming, and the students will have opportunities to network throughout the event.

Ravi (BSAAE '19) was one of 1,000 college students chosen for the program, which allows students to attend the Summit for free.

“The Forbes Under 30 Summit brings together some of the brightest minds across over 20 industries, spanning everything from Environmental Policy to Artificial Intelligence. These individuals are pushing the boundaries of what it means to be an engineer, creator or entrepreneur in their respective fields. I hope to learn from and network with the speakers, investors and other attendees and truly immerse myself in all that the Summit has to offer,” said Ravi, whose advisor is Carolin Frueh. “I am beyond excited to encounter new perspectives, awe-inspiring ideas and perhaps leave driven to return as an Under 30 List-maker someday.

“I frankly cannot even believe I was presented with this opportunity of a lifetime. I don't think I will acknowledge this is real until I am at the Summit, listening to Serena Williams speak.”
