Dr. Kathleen Howell

Congratulations to Dr. Kathleen Howell, who received the 2018 C.T. Sun School of Aeronautics and Astronautics Excellence in Research Award.

Prof. Howell, the Hsu Lo Distinguished Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, has made pioneering contributions in celestial mechanics and astrodynamics. She has also contributed to this nation’s space program, where her research has had major impact on a number of NASA and international space flight missions.

The C.T. Sun award is presented annually to an individual or a team of faculty members in AAE to recognize high quality contributions in science and engineering.
