Two AAE students were among a group of 21 Purdue students who attended the Society of Women Engineers national conference in Minneapolis.

AAE juniors Kate Hauber and Rachel Roth were among a group who attended the conference.

AAE juniors Kate Hauber and Rachel Roth, an AAE ambassador, are in the Purdue Society of Women Engineers chapter. The Purdue group attended several sessions on networking and professional development and learned about a variety of companies at the conference in mid-October.

Roth, attending the event for the first time, participated in the career fair, a Northrop Grumman information session, and networking sessions for Lockheed Martin and The Boeing Company.

“I was able to meet several employees at The Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman and listen to their experiences,” Roth says. “The information greatly helped me in choosing my next internship for the summer.”

The Society of Women Engineers conference is the world’s largest conference for women engineers.
