AAE junior Natasha Yarlagadda spent two months over the summer at Stratolaunch, a Paul G. Allen-owned company that built the world’s largest plane to use as an air launch platform to send vehicles into orbit.

Yarlagadda worked as a Propulsion Engineering intern at the Huntsville, Ala., facility. Through the course of the internship, she met the Seattle team, traveled to various test facilities, supported engine development, and communicated with lead engineers to create various visuals.

Stratolaunch has a very welcoming culture where everyone really wants you to get the most out of your experience, whether that means taking time to explain their work, making sure you see the hardware in action, or just going out of their way to get to know you as a person,” Yarlagadda says.
