AAE Professor Bill Anderson speaks, presents paper at international symposium

AAE Professor Bill Anderson recently gave an Expert Talk and presented a paper at the International Symposium on Thermoacoustic Instabilities in Gas Turbines and Rocket Engines at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Technical University of Munich.

AAE Professor Bill Anderson recently attended the International Symposium on Thermoacoustic Instabilities in Gas Turbines and Rocket Engines at the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Technical University of Munich. The symposium brought together researchers from industry and academia to “provide a forum on which synergies between rocket and gas turbine research can be exploited.” Professor Anderson gave an invited Expert Talk on “Combustion Instabilities in Rocket Engines- An Academic Perspective.” He also presented a paper on “The Use of OH* and CH* as Heat Release Markers in Combustion Dynamics.” The paper was authored by Dr. Swanand Sardeshmukh and two of Professor Anderson’s graduate students, Michael Bedard and Tristan Fuller.
