School of Aeronautics and Astronautics PhD student Natalie Smith received the Outstanding Research Award at the Graduate Student Research, Teaching, and Service Awards Program on April 15, 2015.

School of Aeronautics and Astronautics PhD student Natalie Smith received the Outstanding Research Award at the Graduate Student Research, Teaching, and Service Awards Program on April 15, 2015.

The Outstanding Research Award is presented to students who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in research through publications, participation in professional organizations, and willingness to mentor others.

Smith is a PhD student of Dr. Nicole Key, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering, by courtesy in Aeronautics & Astronautics. Smith is a graduate research assistant at the Purdue High-Speed Compressor Research Laboratory at Maurice J. Zucrow Laboratories, and was a NASA Graduate Student Researcher.
