Dr. Buzz Aldrin, Gemini and Apollo astronaut, continues collaboration with School of AAE's Dr. Longuski and students

As a part of ongoing collaborations, Gemini and Apollo astronaut, Dr. Buzz Aldrin was in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to interact with Professor James Longuski's students. Dr. Aldrin spent time with the Advanced Astrodynamics Concepts research group and the students in the senior design course, AAE 450.

As a part of ongoing collaborations, Gemini and Apollo astronaut, Dr. Buzz Aldrin was in the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics to interact with Professor James Longuski’s students. Dr. Aldrin spent time with the Advanced Astrodynamics Concepts research group and the students in the senior design course, AAE 450.

Named as “Project Aldrin-Purdue,” students in the AAE 450 course, under guidance, are evaluating Dr. Aldrin’s plan to establish permanent human presence on Mars by 2040. Dr. Aldrin will visit the School of AAE again in April 2015.
