Sydney Dolan, Ethan Plaehn and Stephen Scheuerle were recognized as outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees.

Jim Luckring (BSAAE ’73, MSAAE ’74) was awarded for “vision and leadership to advance theoretical, experimental, and computation aerodynamics for separated flows, numerical uncertainty quantification, and CFD validation,” according to NASA.

William Gerstenmaier called it a "tremendous honor" to be presented with an honorary doctorate by President Mitch Daniels at Spring Commencement for his accomplishments as one of NASA’s most influential leaders and administrators.

AAE graduate student Jay Evans was selected for the Science Mathematics and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program.

Kathleen Howell, the Hsu Lo Distinguished Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, was honored May 7 with the highest honor that Purdue confers onto a member of its faculty.

FlykeART, which includes AAE students, is in the International Business Model Competition finals, held Thursday and Friday at Brigham Young University.

AAE senior Alec McKeska was one of four Purdue students awarded The Louis Sudler Prize in the Arts for demonstrating excellence and the highest standards of proficiency in the visual or performing arts. Recipients receive $1,000 and a certificate.
