Advisory Councils
Industrial Advisory Council
The Industrial Advisory Council (IAC), comprised mostly of alumni from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, reviews and addresses issues related to the mission and the vision of the School and serves as a link between AAE and industry and government. The IAC, formed in 1996, meets twice a year, in the fall and spring.
Steering Advisory Council
The Steering Advisory Council (SAC), made up of leaders in the aerospace sector, advises and helps the College of Engineering and Purdue in exploring and creating opportunities in the aerospace enterprise that are timely and important at the national level, where academia, industry, and government can work together. This council is set up for the Dean of Engineering, and AAE is privileged to run the SAC on behalf of the dean. The SAC meets once a year. We are extremely grateful to the efforts of our SAC members in serving the nation’s needs in the aerospace sector.
Young Professionals Advisory Council
The Young Professionals Advisory Council is a group of young alumni chosen from various backgrounds to facilitate discussions between recent alumni and AAE faculty with the goal of benefiting undergraduate students in AAE.
