Tamaira Ross is the director and chief engineer of Rapid Space Capabilities at Boeing Defense and Space.
She was previously a principal manager and configuration design engineer at Blue Origin, where she led System Definition and Design for the New Glenn orbital launch vehicle program. Prior to that she was a Technical Fellow in Boeing Defense, Space & Security.
Tamaira holds a B.S. and a M.S. in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University. She also attended the University of Washington where she obtained a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and a Technology Management MBA. In addition, she is an affiliate instructor in the Industrial & Systems Engineering department at the University of Washington where she teaches a graduate class in technical leadership.
