Engineering Commencement to be shown live on TV and Webcast

The spring commencement ceremonies at Purdue University's West Lafayette campus will be broadcast live for television and Internet audiences.
The College of Engineering will have its ceremony at 8:00p.m. Friday, May 13.
A total of 6,646 students are candidates for degrees at the West Lafayette campus, and 4,773 are expected to participate in the commencement ceremonies. Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger, the "Hero of the Hudson," will address graduates at the 9:30 a.m. May 15 ceremony. Purdue President France A. Córdova will speak at each ceremony.
Tickets are required for admission. Doors open 90 minutes prior to each ceremony. The procession will begin 30 minutes before the event, which will last approximately two hours.
The events will be aired live on Comcast Channel 5 and Boiler TV Channel 13. All ceremonies will be captioned for the hearing impaired. The ceremonies also will be shown live via webcast at mms://video.dis.purdue.edu/graduation

Commencement videos will be available at $30 per DVD. Order forms can be obtained at the Loeb Playhouse Box Office, online at http://www.purdue.edu/registrar/pdf/DVD_Form.pdf or by calling 765-494-3933. Forms may be submitted both before and after the ceremony within two weeks of the event.
