Keyvan Esfarjani named Neil Armstrong Distinguished Visiting Fellow

Keyvan Esfarjani earned bachelor's and master's degrees in industrial engineering in 1992 and 1994, respectively. His 28-year Intel Corporation career commenced in 1996 when he joined as an industrial engineer.

During his career at Intel Esfarjani served as Executive Vice President, Chief Global Operations Officer, and General Manager of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Operations at Intel Corporation. 
 
He has been recognized for his professional contributions with Purdue's Outstanding Industrial Engineer Award in 2022 and the Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award in 2023. He also serves on Purdue's Semiconductor Degrees Leadership Board, contributing to advancements in semiconductor education programs.
 
Young-Jun Son, the James J. Solberg Head and Ransburg Professor of the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering, expressed his enthusiasm about Esfarjani's return to Purdue. "We are thrilled to welcome Keyvan back. His leadership and industry insights will be invaluable to our students and faculty," Son remarked.

Milind Kulkarni, the Michael and Katherine Birck Head of the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, also highlighted the significance of Esfarjani's appointment. "Keyvan's expertise in semiconductors will greatly benefit our ECE community. His presence will inspire innovation and excellence within our programs" Kulkarni stated.
 
His leadership and expertise played a key role in advancing Intel’s technology, manufacturing, and operational efficiencies. Keyvan is committed to people-centered leadership, emphasizing collaboration, results-driven performance, and creating an environment where teams can thrive and succeed together.
 
Esfarjani is hosted by the Edwardson School of Industrial Engineering and the Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
