Why I came to Purdue:

Purdue has a world-renowned IE program with different tracks catering to different specialties within the field. Having very little background in IE, I was excited about the flexibility and the versatility the course curriculum had to offer and the opportunities it provided to interact with some of the best minds in the field.

A brief description of research/other duties in the school:

I had worked on various projects through-out my course curriculum in the field of production control, real options and consulting.

What I envisage for my future after Purdue:

I keep great interest in statistics and optimization and I plan to join a leading financial service provider in the industry as a Business Analyst. It will be a challenge to consolidate the concepts and fundamentals learnt in the classrooms and to translate them into ideas in the corporate world. But I believe the IE program at Purdue has equipped me aptly to meet these challenges.

Which organizations are you involved with on-campus and why:

Keeping great interest in music, I was a part of Purdue Taal- an Indo-American a capella group that made music compositions fusing the contemporary Eastern and Western styles of music. I was also a keen participant most of the seminars/socials organized by the IE-Graduate Student Organization.
