Internship positions are available during the fall, spring, and summer sessions that provide an opportunity to explore different areas of specialization with the industrial engineering profession. This work experience assists in the selection of technical electives during the senior year and is beneficial when interviewing for full-time employment upon graduation. The internship program is less structured that the Co-Op Program, but still provides valuable first-hand information of the type of entry-level positions that are most suitable for a given individual student. Participants have full-time student status while registered for the professional internship course, IE 496.
