Admissions Criteria

IE490 undergrad students

Admission to Purdue for undergraduate study in engineering is handled by the Office of Admissions. 

First-year Students

First-year students must apply to the First-Year Engineering Program, offered by the School of Engineering Education. The First-Year Engineering (FYE) program contains core coursework required for all engineering students and usually takes two semesters to complete.

Acceptance into the Industrial Engineering program is contingent upon the student's successful completion of the FYE curriculum.
