EEE adds new Graduate Administrative Assistant

In June, EEE welcomed the addition of Martha Lucht as the graduate program administrative assistant. Her responsibilities involve helping graduate students from registration to graduation, amongst other duties.
Originally from Matamoros, Tamaulipas – Mexico, she graduated from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey – Campus Monterrey in June 1985 with a B.S. in Accounting.
 
Lucht first joined Purdue University as a Limited Term Lecturer in 2002 -2006, and then went on to work at Ivy Tech and Vinton Elementary School 2006-2014. In 2014, she returned to Purdue working as a secretary for the National and International Scholarships Office in the Honors College. She then moved into the School of Mechanical Engineering as senior design secretary until joining EEE.
 
Lucht is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Education with a focus in curriculum studies and expects to graduate in December 2018.
 
In her spare time, she volunteers in a Spanish conversation group which she developed. This group is geared toward helping students develop and improve their conversational skills in order to participate in a study abroad experience to a Spanish speaking country.
