Dr. Bryan Boudouris, multi-institution research team close $1.1M seed round

Dr. Bryan Boudouris, the Robert and Sally Weist Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering, is part of a multi-institution research team, which has closed a $1.1M seed round for funding. Anfiro, a water treatment developer based on Purdue University and University of Notre Dame research, closed the round that included Purdue Research Foundation’s Office of Technology Commercialization. Researchers at Anfiro are developing polymer-based water treatment membranes to improve energy and cost efficiency for seawater desalination.

ChE's Dr. Reklaitis interviewed for ChEnected as part of 2017 AIChE Annual Meeting

Dr. Gintaras V. (Rex) Reklaitis, the Burton and Kathryn Gedge Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering at Purdue, presented this year’s John M. Prausnitz AIChE Institute Lecture entitled “Process Systems Engineering Contributions to Pharmaceuticals,” on November 1 in Minneapolis. Prof. Reklaitis was interviewed about his research by long-time colleague Dr. Rakesh Agrawal, the Winthrop E. Stone Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering.

Purdue AIChE receives Outstanding Student Chapter Award for second consecutive year

The American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Student Chapters Committee has named Purdue AIChE as one of the recipients of a 2016-2017 Outstanding Student Chapter award. This is the second consecutive year that the student organization has been recognized with this award. Purdue AIChE student leaders were honored during the 2017 AIChE Annual Student Conference awards ceremony on October 29 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Chemical Engineering announces three new faculty members

Davidson School of Chemical Engineering is pleased to welcome three new faculty members for 2017-2018. Dr. Letian Dou, Dr. Vivek Narsimhan, and Dr. Brett Savoie joined the faculty as assistant professors in August 2017.
