Greg Honda Wins "Best Presentation" Award at 2012 Annual AIChE Meeting

Gregory Honda

The paper titled "Pressure Drop and Hydrodynamics of Trickle-Bed Reactors with Particle Size Distributions" was presented by Graduate Student Greg Honda at the 2012 Annual AIChE meeting in Pittsburgh (Oct 28-Nov 2). The Co-authors of the presentation are Wesley Fleming, Philip Gase, and Arvind Varma.

The presentation was identified by the session co-chair, Dr. R.C. Ramaswamy (Eastman Chemical Company), as "Best Presentation" of the Multiphase Reaction Engineering session.

Greg Honda received his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut and joined Purdue in 2010.  He is advised by Professor Arvind Varma. Currently, his research is focused on determining the effect of catalyst support particle size distribution on the hydrodynamics and performance of trickle-bed reactors.
