Ronald L. Kerber

Until February of this year, Dr. Kerber was the deputy under-secretary of defense for Research and Advanced Technology, where he was responsible for planning and reviewing all research and development programs in the Department of Defense Science and Technology Program. Before joining the Department of Defense in 1985, Dr. Kerber was for 16 years a faculty member at Michigan State University, and was associate dean for graduate studies and research from 1980. He has researched and taught on a variety of subjects, including laser physics, plasma chemistry, and thermodynamics, and has served as a consultant to numerous government agencies. In 1987, he made nine testimonial appearances before Congress, providing expertise on various subjects.
