Alexis Harroun was one of three Purdue students who were selected for the honor, and she will attend the 20 Twenties Awards Luncheon and Aviation Week's 62nd Annual Laureates Awards on March 14 at the National Building Museum in Washington D.C.

A perfect advisor pairing produced a "really cool" research opportunity for graduate student Aaron Blacker, one of three AAE students selected as "Tomorrow's Leaders: The 20 Twenties" by Aviation Week Network, in collaboration with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).

A startup led by AAE students won $8,500 at the annual Burton D. Morgan Business Model Competition. FlykeArt placed third in the business-to-business competition ($7,500) and also won a $1,000 award for having the most diverse team based on gender, ethnicity and school major.
