AAE graduate student Imad Hanhan awarded NSF graduate research fellowship

Incoming School of Aeronautics and Astronautics graduate student Imad Hanhan has been awarded the National Science Fellowship graduate research fellowship. The fellowships are highly competitive and recognize outstanding graduate student and their demonstrated potential "for significant achievements in science and engineering."

Purdue 980-acre aerospace tech park ready for flight

Purdue University President Mitch Daniels on Tuesday (April 21) announced plans to create a 980-acre Purdue Research Park Aerospace District in West Lafayette housing public and private aerospace research facilities that will provide jobs for Indiana residents and learning opportunities for Purdue students.

School of AAE 450 Senior Spacecraft Design Final Presentations to be held Thursday

The School of Aeronautics and Astronautics AAE 450 Senior Spacecraft Design class will hold its final presentation on Thursday, April 23, 2015. The presentations, which will include review by Gemini and Apollo astronaut Dr. Buzz Aldrin, will highlight the culmination of work done as part of Dr. James Longuski's class.

College of Engineering Dean Leah Jamieson receives Kate Gleason Medal for Leadership in Engineering Education

In recognition of the influential role that the academic leaders of engineering colleges play in creating the engineers of tomorrow, the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology has established the Kate Gleason Medal for Leadership in Engineering Education. The college will bestow its first award on Purdue University College of Engineering Dean Leah Jamieson.
