📢 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 | IEEE ICHMS 2026 Special Session @ NTU Singapore
𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Urban Air Mobility (UAM): Integrating Autonomous Aerial Vehicles into Existing Human
Infrastructure
This special session brings together researchers and practitioners to examine the safe, efficient, and
ethical integration of autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs) into urban environments. The session
addresses the technical, regulatory, and societal challenges of aerial autonomy, with a specific focus on
human–machine interaction, safety, public acceptance, and governance. By highlighting lessons
learned, emerging approaches, and open problems, the session aims to foster collaboration among
academia, industry, and policy stakeholders and to identify actionable directions that advance the safe,
equitable, and sustainable adoption of UAM technologies.

Submissions are invited on (but not limited to) the following areas:
• System-level design and architectures for urban low-altitude airspace and mobility corridors
• Human–machine interaction and collaboration in aerial systems
• Safety, reliability, and performance evaluation for urban air mobility (UAM) operations
• Governance, regulation, and public acceptance of aerial autonomy
• Assessment, simulation, or real-world deployment of urban aerial mobility systems
• Cross-disciplinary studies linking engineering, human factors, aerial mobility infrastructure, policy and
social impact
