International Student Program Extension Information
including extensions.
ISS sent out an email last week (Thursday, 7/30) to all international students about Program Extensions. It is imperative that you read this email and take action as soon as possible if you require or think you will require an extension to your I-20 or DS-2019. In order to qualify for an extension you must have a compelling academic reason or a documented medical reason. The deadline for ISS to receive all required documentation is August 15th.
One example of a compelling academic reason is if you have completed an internship/co-op and you will not complete your degree by the current end date on your I-20/DS-2019, it’s imperative that you contact ISS to start the extension process. Please do not wait until the August 15th deadline to inquire or start the extension process.
