Like any engineering project, this one began with a set of requirements set forth by our customer (and instructor), Professor James Longuski. The main goal of Project Artemis is to minimize the cost of establishing three human colonies on the moon that, in a safe and timely manner, will ultimately enable a one-way-to-Mars mission. We are particularly interested in observing crew health (both mental and physical) while they live on the moon because we know relatively little about how human physiology will fare on extended space missions.
There is, of course, much more to say about this project, so we have created this site to communicate that information with you. If you have any questions, you can contact Professor James Longuski or the project manager Andrew Cox
