The Purdue University Global Policy Research Institute has awarded a 2012 incentive award to a multi-disciplinary research team led by Dr. Datu Buyung Agusdinata.

A multi-disciplinary research team led by Dr. Datu Buyung Agusdinata, an associate research scientist in AAE, has received a 2012 incentive award from the Global Policy Research Institute (GPRI).

The team will develop a prototype computational tool to inform policy design to mitigate drought impacts in East Africa, which represents some of the most pressing technological, humanitarian, and political challenges of our time.

To tackle such a complex problem, Dr. Agusdinata will apply Systems Engineering approaches developed within the System-of-Systems Lab led by Dr. Dan DeLaurentis.

The project also receives a match-support from the Purdue Global Engineering Program led by Dr. William Anderson.
