School of Nuclear Engineering Mission

The general mission of the School of Nuclear Engineering is to benefit the public at large with the knowledge of nuclear processes, applications and radiation science consistent with Purdue University’s mission of maintaining excellence in teaching, research, and service. This knowledge will be disseminated through our students and the publications and presentations of our faculty.

• NE Program Objectives
  Each student after leaving should be able to accomplish all of the Program Educational Objectives and bring them into both the industrial and scientific world.
   
• NE Curriculum
  The curriculum is assessed continuously by the faculty to satisfy the ABET Student Outcomes, one specific outcome per semester.

  The core courses are assessed by the faculty every semester to meet the ABET Student Outcomes.
