Nuclear Engineering Accreditation (ABET) Information

The School of Nuclear Engineering at Purdue University has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, The ABET accreditation program helps ensure a School's educational quality. This site identifies the objectives and outcomes of Purdue's Nuclear Engineering department.

School of Nuclear Engineering Mission

The general mission of the School of Nuclear Engineering is to benefit the public at large with the knowledge of nuclear processes, applications and radiation science consistent with Purdue University’s mission of maintaining excellence in teaching, research, and service. This knowledge will be disseminated through our students and the publications and presentations of our faculty.

    Each student after leaving should be able to accomplish all of these objectives and bring them into both the industrial and scientific world.
