NSF CAREER Award for Wu

Wenzhuo Wu, Ravi and Eleanor Talwar Rising Star Assistant Professor of Industrial Engineering, was recently granted the prestigious CAREER Award from NSF for Scalable Nanomanufacturing of Two-Dimensional Topological Materials for Quantum Device Applications. The five-year award is granted to researchers in the first five years of their academic career and is given to those who show excellence and innovation in their work.

Virginia Booth Womack (BSIE'91) named Woman of Influence by Indiana Business Journal

The Indianapolis Business Journal recently named Purdue University Minority Engineering Program (MEP) director Virginia Booth Womack to its 2020 Women of Influence list.



Womack (BSIE ’91, BA Psychology ’92) is a nationally-recognized engineering educator, commended for her professional experience, leadership, vision, community service & mentorship. In 1978 she was the first female national chair of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), then later helped found Purdue NSBE & has led MEP in achieving significant milestones for underrepresented minority students.
