Mr. Farlander is currently the Vice President, Corporate Purchasing at Abbott Laboratories. He was awarded the Distinguished Engineering Alumnus Award in 1986 in recognition of his global achievements as a leader in the Pharmaceutical industry.

He was also awarded the Outstanding Industrial Engineer award in 1997
