Senior IE student and walk-on Purdue Boilermaker quarterback Aaron Banks won the Kiwanis Citizenship Award at a banquet on December 9.

Purdue recognized its 29 seniors at the 98th-annual Purdue-Kiwanis Football Banquet, held in the Purdue Memorial Union Ballrooms. Banks received the Kiwanis Citizenship Award, given to the junior or senior member of the team who excels most in the combined roles of player, student and community leader and who, by example, reflects the objectives of Kiwanis International, including spiritual values and service to others.

He is also the Purdue student body president, and in that role he's been working with a sustainability company called JUST Water to bring its recyclable water bottle product to campus.
