The Fall 2016 issue of the Purdue University Engineering Impact magazine features Assistant Professor Roshanak (Roshi) Nateghi's research on predicting power outages during disasters.

Nateghi and her collaborators develop predictive models to estimate the likely impacts of extreme events on power distributions systems in order to enhance power grid's reliability in hazard-prone regions of the United States. They have looked extensively at the impacts of storms and hurricanes on the reliability of power distribution systems in coastal regions of the U.S.
