INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING GRADUATE STUDENT ORGANIZATION (IE GSO)
The Purdue Industrial Engineering (IE) Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is open to all graduate students in the School of Industrial Engineering. This organization aims to build or enhance scholarly communities within the school, provide students and their families with an opportunity to participate in social events, help recruit new graduate students and mentor those students from the time they are admitted, and provide opportunities for professional development and networking.
INSTITUTE OF INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERS (IIE)
As a group, the Purdue Chapter of IIE’s interests lie in further educating students, promoting industrial engineering at Purdue University, gaining industry experience, and participating in charitable functions. Our group provides an excellent gateway for different companies to get involved with the student body and faculty here.
INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING GRADUATE WOMEN'S GROUP (IE GWG)
The purpose of IE GWG is to encourage interaction and support, both academically and socially, among graduate women and allies in the School of Industrial Engineering.
HUMAN FACTORS AND ERGONOMICS (HFES)
HFES (Human Factors and Ergonomics Society) is a professional organization whose mission is “to promote the discovery and exchange of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds. ”Founded in 1993, the Purdue Chapter promotes HFES’ mission by inviting students and faculty to present their research related to human factors. The Chapter also sponsors events that promote the awareness of human factors. As human factors is inherently multi-disciplinary, students and faculty from all majors are invited to join our chapter.
INSTITUTE FOR OPERATIONS RESEARCH AND THE MANAGEMENT SCIENCES (INFORMS)
INFORMS is a society representing professionals in Operations Research and Management Sciences. The Purdue Chapter aims to provide a community at Purdue for graduate and undergraduate students interested in OR and MS, promote and facilitate discussions about existing and emerging topics in OR, MS, and related fields and provide education and career development opportunities for students.
WOMEN IN ENGINEERING PROGRAM
The Women in Engineering Program at Purdue University is dedicated to enriching the profession of engineering through the full participation of women. WIEP develop and direct activities that provide: 1) encouragement for girls and young women to study engineering, 2) information about careers and companies, and 3) an environment conducive to the successful completion of their studies. WIEP also maintain strong relationships with alumnae, friends and companies who generously support the program.
