Undergraduate Student Organizations
Institute of Industrial & Systems Engineers (IISE)
As a group, the Purdue Chapter of IISE’s interests lie in further educating students, promoting industrial engineering at Purdue University, gaining industry experience, and participating in charitable functions. The group provides an excellent gateway for different companies to get involved with Purdue IE students and faculty.
Human Factors and Ergonomics (HFES)
HFES (Human Factors and Ergonomics Society) is a professional organization whose mission is "to promote the discovery and exchange of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds". Founded in 1993, the Purdue Chapter promotes HFES's mission by inviting students and faculty to present their research related to human factors. The Chapter also sponsors events that promote the awareness of human factors. As human factors is inherently multi-disciplinary, students and faculty from all majors are invited to join our chapter.
Institute For Operations Research and The Management Sciences (INFORMS)
INFORMS is a society representing professionals in Operations Research and Management Sciences. The Purdue Chapter provides a community for graduate and undergraduate students interested in OR and MS; promotes and facilitates discussions about existing and emerging topics in OR, MS, and related fields; and provides education and career development opportunities for students.
Minority Engineering Program (MEP)
Established in 1974, this program has been nationally recognized and replicated to advance engineering learning, discovery, and engagement in fulfillment of the Land Grant promise through outreach, recruitment, and retention of historically underrepresented students in their pursuit to become extraordinary Purdue engineers.
Women In Engineering Program (WIEP)
The Women in Engineering Program at Purdue University is dedicated to enriching the profession of engineering through the full participation of women. It develops and directs activities that provide: 1) encouragement for girls and young women to study engineering, 2) information about careers and companies, and 3) an environment conducive to the successful completion of their studies. WIEP also maintain strong relationships with alumnae, friends and companies who generously support the program.
Alpha Pi Mu
The only nationally-accepted Industrial Engineering honor society, membership is by invitation only to third-year IE students in the top one-fifth of their IE class, and to fourth-year IE students in the top one-third of their IE class. Members work to improve the surrounding community by performing acts and duties that bring a greater understanding of Industrial Engineering to Indiana. As well as having a community focus, Purdue's chapter aims to help its members in various capacities that provide value to their career and educational aspirations.
Graduate Student Organizations
Industrial Engineering Graduate Student Organization (IEGSO)
The Purdue Industrial Engineering (IE) Graduate Student Organization (GSO) is open to all graduate students in the School of Industrial Engineering. This organization aims to build and enhance scholarly communities within the school, provides students and their families with an opportunity to participate in social events, helps recruit new graduate students and mentor those students from the time they are admitted, and provides opportunities for professional development and networking.
Industrial Engineering Graduate Women's Group (IEGWG)
IEGWG encourages interaction and support, both academically and socially, among graduate women and allies in the School of Industrial Engineering.

MAES is a nationwide organization whose mission is to promote, cultivate, and honor excellence in education and leadership among Latino engineers and scientists, preparing Latinos to be leaders in the engineering and science world.
