State Street Construction

April 2017 - November 2017

Road closures during construction summer and fall 2017 will impact pedestrian and vehicle traffic to and from Herrick.  From the south, the most straightforward vehicle route to Herrick Labs is likely to be from U.S. 231 via Martin Jischke Drive and Harrison Street.  From the north, the plan is that Martin Jischke Drive will be open.

Please see http://statestreetwl.com/ for suggested detour routes and other updates about the project.

The State Street Redevelopment Project will remake State Street - from the Wabash River, through downtown West Lafayette and Purdue University, out ot U.S. 231 - into a place that reflects the vibrant spirit of the community.

2018
There is construction planned on Airport Road, Stadium, Williams, and Sheets Streets.

International Guests

Apply for your travel visa for entry into the United States as soon as possible. Entry requirements into the United States have tightened considerably, so if you require a letter of invitation in order to attend conferences at Purdue, please notify us as soon as possible.  We will send you a signed letter in an e-mail attachment that you can provide to the nearest US consulate or embassy in your country. We do not contact consulates, embassies or the State Department. We cannot over-emphasize the need to allow several months for this process. Click here for more information about US visas.  Your Purdue contact is Kim Stockment, Conference Coordinator: +1 765-494-6078 or kstockme@purdue.edu

In addition, if you are an international visitor, student, or faculty member, you are required to complete an ESTA Approval Form before entering the United States.
