HERRICK LABS CREDIT CARD PURCHASES
All Herrick credit card use requires PI authorization and a Purchase Request Form to be completed prior to use.
Approved Purchasing Guidelines
Before making any purchase, please verify that the vendor is not available through Ariba. Vendors available in Ariba must be purchased through Procurement and are not permitted on the laboratory credit card.
The following common vendors must be processed through Procurement (not complete list):

- VWR Scientific Products (Avantor)
Tax Exempt Requirement
All purchases made with the laboratory credit card must be tax-exempt — no exceptions.
If sales tax is charged at the time of purchase, the purchaser will be responsible for returning to the vendor to have the tax removed and corrected before reimbursement or reconciliation can be completed.
Please ensure the tax-exempt certificate is presented at the time of purchase.
Additional Notes
- All receipts must be submitted immediately after purchase.
- Personal purchases are strictly prohibited.
- Misuse of the laboratory credit card or failure to follow these procedures may result in loss of credit card privileges.
