Several Herrick students and graduates were recognized at Noise-Con, the annual conference of the Institute of Noise Control Engineering, in Providence, Rhode Island.

David Cappelleri was featured on WRTV6 last night as an expert in micro aerial vehicles (also called drones). Police used a drone to locate missing Lafayette teacher Krista Perdue. The 23rd International Compressor Engineering Conference, the 16th International Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Conference and the 4th International High Performance Buildings Conference will be held July 11-14, 2016, on the campus of Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.

Carrie Hall (Ph.D. 2012) was recently awarded the NSF Early Career Award, one of the most prestigious NSF honors for outstanding young researchers.

Researchers are using a technology likened to "mini force fields" to independently control individual microbots operating within groups -- an advance aimed at using the tiny machines in manufacturing and medicine. The work is being overseen by David Cappelleri, assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Purdue.
