Give to Purdue EEE

Founded in 2006, the Environmental and Ecological Engineering (EEE) division is a leader in sustainability engineering, including resource sustainability, circular economy, and decarbonization, with a dual focus on classic environmental engineering and industrial sustainability. EEE students and faculty address the management of industrial waste within water, soil, and air, while also identifying its origins to prevent environmental challenges before they start. In its mission to understand how all engineering activities affect and are affected by the environment, EEE serves the state, nation, and world with its education and research to address global environmental and ecological challenges.

We appreciate your support and generosity!

Giving Opportunities

Purdue’s sustainability engineering faculty are pioneers in the field. EEE researchers have recently received national grants to advance life-cycle assessment methods, explore zero-waste sustainable pharmaceutical manufacturing, and target Midwest seafood production and consumption. Since its founding, EEE affiliates have protected public health and safety, reduced environmental impact and improved company economic performance, educated industrial practitioners on how to develop more sustainable products and processes, trained over 550 graduates to be effective environmental stewards, and helped to shape national standards for circularity and disaster response.

An endowed professorship is the highest tribute the department bestows on a faculty member and, therefore, a core recruiting tool to bring the best and brightest to Purdue. Endowed professorships advance teaching and scholarship across disciplines and in emerging subject areas, allowing the school to remain responsive to the needs of students now and in the future.Endowed professorships support faculty already performing at a high level, enabling them to contribute significantly to the school and their respective fields. The funds generated by endowed professorships are available to faculty members to advance their instructional programs, develop new research ideas, fund students’ work, and make innovative advances in their portfolios of scholarly work. Particularly in securing talent in competitive areas, endowed professorships will set Purdue apart
