Prof. Brandon Boor receives Outstanding Engineering Graduate Student Mentor Award

CE Assistant Professor, Brandon Boor, who has a courtesy appointment in EEE, is the recipient of the Outstanding Engineering Graduate Student Mentor Award. This award is voted on by the EEE graduate students to recognize a faculty member who has been an outstanding mentor.

As an advisor, Boor embraces interdisciplinary thinking and promotes outreach experience.  The plaque describes his impact on students, saying “He encourages his students to pursue personally meaningful and socially impactful research.  To students, he is patient, responsive, and invested in their personal and academic growth.  Prof. Boor perpetuates the essence of Environmental and Ecological Engineering research by passing on this enthusiasm of systematically considering both people and the environment.”
