Professor Vilas Pol has been selected for placement on the Fulbright Specialist Roster for a tenure of three years. This prestigious program, administered by the U.S. Department of State, provides U.S. academics and established professionals with the unique opportunity to participate in two- to six-week, project-based exchanges at host institutions worldwide.

Professor Vilas Pol is a distinguished academic and researcher renowned for his contributions to the fields of materials science and engineering. The Vilas Pol Energy Research (ViPER) group specializes in the development of advanced electrode and electrolyte materials for energy storage, with significant work in lithium-ion, sodium- and potassium-ion batteries, their thermal safety and low temperature performance. With 275 publications, 20 issued US patents, 40 national and international society awards including two Guinness World Records^TM to his name, Pol's research has been widely recognized for its innovation and impact.
