On February 21, 2009, the members of the National Society of Black Engineers gathered at the Purdue Memorial Union to celebrate the achievements of minority students in engineering, math, science, and technology.
On February 21, 2009, the members of the National Society of Black Engineers gathered at the Purdue Memorial Union to celebrate the achievements of minority students in engineering, math, science, and technology. Many students were recognized, including two from Chemical Engineering:
- Stephanie Watson, Senior won the Samantha Sanders Award (Senior with the highest graduation GPA) and an Eli Lilly Scholarship Award
- Frank Onochie ( AKA Francis Mbakogu) won the Procter & Gamble Scholarship Award and the Merck Scholarship Award
