ChE Student Appointed to the Purdue Board of Trustees

Event Date: July 10, 2009
Tyler Teykl, ChE Sophomore, appointed to serve a two-year term on the Purdue Board of Trustees

On July 10, 2009, Tyler Teykl, a ChE sophomore, was elected as the Purdue Student Trustee. Teykl, originally from Rosenberg, Texas, is a member of the 2008 President's Leadership Class and Purdue Engineering Student Council and plans to work on sustainable energy solutions for transportation when he graduates. He will serve a two-year term.

His appointment is a testament to the superb quality of our students; he joins the Board just as a distinguished School alumnus, Tim McGinley (BSChE 1963), retires after serving nearly 20 years as a Trustee and 16 years as Board Chairman.
