Won Receives KIChE Award and 3M Nontenured Faculty Grant

You-Yeon Won has received the KIChE-US Outstanding Young Investigator Award 2007 and the 3M Nontenured Faculty Grant.

In November 2007, You-Yeon Won, assistant professor of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering (by courtesy), was recognized with the Korean Institute of Chemical Engineers-United States (KIChE-US) Outstanding Young Investigator Award 2007.

Recently, Dr. Won was also awarded the 3M Nontenured Faculty Grant.  This highly competitive award recognizes outstanding new faculty for the quality and pertinence of their research and is intended to help them achieve tenure, remain in their academic positions and conduct research.  In addition to the honor, the grant provides $15,000/year until tenure is achieved, up to a maximum of three years.
