2nd C.W. Lovell Distinguished Lecture - Lecture Photos

Prof. Ishihara gave a very thorough and informative presentation on the effect of lateral spreading on piles during the 1995 Kobe earthquake. The many photos and vivid details presented brought the magnitude of the issue to life for the audience. After seeing this case study, we can all agree with Dr. Ishihara about the importance of considering lateral spreading effects in design.
