Tariq Saeed receives Purdue Engineering Outstanding Research Award

Congratulations to Tariq U. Saeed, recipient of the 2019 College of Engineering Outstanding Research Award. The award recognizes excellence in graduate student research from across the College of Engineering. Tariq will be recognized at the Spring Graduate Student Awards luncheon through a certificate and a $2000 award.

Congratulations to Tariq U. Saeed, recipient of the 2019 College of Engineering Outstanding Research Award. The award recognizes excellence in graduate student research from across the College of Engineering. Tariq will be recognized at the Spring Graduate Student Awards luncheon through a certificate and a $2000 award.

The recipient is selected based on demonstrated excellence in research through:

  • Peer-reviewed publications in journals or conference proceedings
  • Awards for research, including best paper and outstanding presentations
  • Recognized or potential contribution of the research to the field
  • Recognized or potential contribution of the research to Society
  • Leadership within a research group or community (including mentoring of graduate and undergraduate students in their research)
  • Academic achievement
  • Participation in professional societies

Tariq U. Saeed is a doctoral student in Transportation & Infrastructure Systems Engineering advised by Professor Samuel Labi. He was nominated by Professor Kumares Sinha.
