Brazilian digital ag leader to bring high-tech farming solutions, open office near Purdue, create 300-plus jobs

PadrĂ£o said a factor in moving to Indiana was to be close to Purdue and its College of Agriculture, which is ranked as ninth best in the world according to QS World Rankings, and its Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, which is ranked as the best in the United States by US News and World Report. Solinftec also used Tom Farms in Huntington County as a trial farm to move into row crops.

Professor Monika Ivantysynova, 1955 - 2018

We are shocked and saddened by the news that Professor Monika Ivantysynova passed away early on the 11th of August, following a 4-month battle with cancer. Initially, she kept her health condition private until the rapid decay required her constant stay in the hospital for the last few weeks of her life. Monika was extremely active in the international fluid power research community, and her passion for the subject inspired researchers and engineers all over the world.

As we begin classes in the new semester, Purdue Engineering is pleased to recognize our outstanding educators from Spring 2018. These exemplary faculty and lecturers received teaching evaluation scores of 4.7 or higher in classes with enrollments of 10 and above, 50% or higher response rates, and are featured in an ad in the August 23, 2018, edition of the Purdue Exponent.
