Professor Dharmendra Saraswat honored by 2015 ANRC NPS

Dharmendra Saraswat, associate professor, was honored by Arkansas Natural Resources Commission (ANRC) and Public Policy Center of University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture for his contributions to the state's nonpoint source (NPS) pollution management program at the 2015 ANRC NPS stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, September 23.

Dr. Saraswat did much of the modeling work used for establishing priority watersheds for NPS pollution in the state. Dr. Saraswat has served as a Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI on several projects funded by ANRC since 2007 until now.

Tony Ramick, NPS Program Manager with the ANRC presented Dharmendra with a plaque. The plaque states, "Our sincere appreciation to Dharmendra Saraswat for your dedication to the NPS Management Program".

"Dr. Saraswat has been instrumental in the continuing development of the Arkansas Nonpoint Source Management Plan and Program.  His contributions and associated work have been impeccable.  The professional and personal relationships that have been developed will be forever remembered. The NPS staff and I wish him the very best in his endeavors" said Ramick.

I appreciate the support from NPS team at ANRC; NPS stakeholders group and colleagues, staff, and students at the University of Arkansas for their cooperation and friendship.” said Saraswat.

Dharmendra joined Purdue ABE August 17, 2015.
