For Joseph Kirchhoff, receiving a NASA research fellowship grant is just icing on the cake. The recent Purdue graduate is fascinated by composites and loves doing research, but he believes it’s only worth doing if it’s making a positive difference in the world.

The Purdue Board of Trustees announced June 10 its unanimous election of Dr. Mung Chiang, currently the John A. Edwardson Dean of Engineering and Executive Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, as the university’s next president.

Elise Doan, a junior in AAE, was drawn to Purdue University in part for its five-out-of-five-star Campus Pride Index rating.
