John Rusek's company, Swift Enterprises Ltd. has entered into an agreement that will allow Purdue University researchers to test the company's unleaded, renewable general aviation fuel during various projects.

Purdue University alumnus David Wolf will speak on campus Oct. 29 about his experiences as an astronaut. Wolf's talk, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. in Stewart Center's Fowler Hall.

AAE Assistant Professor Vikas Tomar will speak at the upcoming roundtable at ASME's International Mechanical Engineering Congress in Vancouver, Canada.

The Purdue University Board of Trustees on Friday, Oct. 15, ratified the appointment of Stephen D. Heister as the Raisbeck Engineering Distinguished Professor for Engineering and Technology Integration.

It is with great sadness that we learned Harold Miller DeGroff Jr., 90, of Indianapolis, formerly of Connersville and West Lafayette, died Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2010, in Indianapolis.

AAE Professor is the recipient of the ASME Materials Division Orr "Early Career" Award for 2010.

In 2010, NASA selected six graduate students from across the US to attend the 61st International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Prague, Czech Republic. Two of these student ambassadors were from AAE: Diane Craig Davis and Geoff Wawrzyniak.
