Norman “Jay” Price is currently the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM) Program Director and is responsible for execution of current contract phases and capture of future PrSM business.
In his previous role, Price was KSA THAAD Program Director, responsible for capture of the KSA THAAD case to include resolving localization MOA approaches. Prior to KSA THAAD, Price was Director of Technology Development Programs for Tactical Missiles and Combat Maneuver System (TM/CMS). In this position, Price led a large multiple discipline team (>300 personnel) in the design, development and delivery of systems/sub-systems for Air Force, Navy and Army customers with multi-program budget oversight more than $100M yearly.
Price has over 34 years of combined program management (PM) and systems/software engineering experience in weapons systems development on a variety of systems covering tactical missiles, fire control systems and weapon simulators. Price’s program management experience is varied and has spanned multiple program areas such as Execution/Capture of PrSM (2019-Present), International PM/Capture for IAMD KSA THAAD (2016-2019), PM/Capture Management for Tactical Missiles Advanced Programs (2012-2015), PM on Hellfire Romeo development/transition to production contract (2009-2012), capture manager/PM in Ground Sensor Systems/Future Combat System (GSS/FCS) (2007-2009), PM for the MFC UCAR program (2003) and PM on Longbow P3I program (2001-2003).
Price’s technical management experience includes SEIT Lead and Software/Firmware IPT Manager (2003-2007) for GSS/FCS. Prior to program/technical management experience, he worked in various technical roles in software and systems engineering. His primary technical expertise is in millimeter wave radar system design and analysis, target detection/tracking algorithm development, and software development.
